Our latest Site Fermentation Project series is an ode to the beloved foedre—so many stories tie back to this humble barrel.
This oak Foedre barrel (VAT 19) was made in Hindmarsh, SA by C.A. Schahinger. It was first filled with wine in 1997 at a prominent Hunter Valley winery.
This red ale was fermented and aged in the Foedre back in Footscray, using a combination of selected yeast and bacteria.
This is a complex and rich sour beer, with a deep yet lively acidity.

Before shipment, all ordered items will be thoroughly inspected. Today, the majority orders will be shipped within 48 hours. Delivery is expected to take between three and seven days.
Returns
Stock is dynamic. It is not managed entirely by us, since we have multiple entities, including the factory and the storage. The actual inventory can change at any moment. It is possible that the stocks could be depleted after your order has been placed.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If it's been more than 30 days since you purchased your item and we're unable to offer you a complete exchange or refund.
To be eligible for a return your item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it in. The item should be returned in its original packaging.
