Our coastal version of a classic Belgian white beer brewed with foraged coastal salt bush, fresh orange peel, Aussie cascade & eclipse hops.
Coastal saltbush Atriplex cinerea is one of our favourite ingredients to use in beer as it is the essence of the sea on land, imparting a lingering salt on the lips aftertaste. During the bushfires West Cape burnt all the way to the beach, but a large clumping of saltbush was completely untouched and further research on this I have found that it is also fire retardant, we will be planting a heap of this at Dunetown!
