Maréchal is an old Loire Valley-based producer that offers a complete range of great-value sparkling wines from Loire Valley fruit. The wines are based on chenin blanc and chardonnay. The Methode Traditionelle is from Loire Valley chenin blanc [90%] with some chardonnay, and is aged on lees for a minimum of 12 months. The current MT is mostly from 2010. It is fresh, appley, bready, quite fine, crisp and clean. The Vouvray Brut is a classic chenin Brut with fresh acidity and lovely powerful honey-tinged fruit with yeasty, appley freshness.
