Great Southern
Tempranillo, Shiraz, Mencia, Counoise and Cinsault from the Wilson’s Pool Vineyard in Frankland River. Eleven-year-old bush-vine Tempranillo and three clones of Shiraz were joined this year by new varieties (Mencia, Counoise and Cinsault) grafted onto established vines. A mix of whole-bunch and whole-berry natural fermentation, with some co-fermentation of varieties. After malo, the blend was raised in older French oak puncheons for nine months. Bottled with no fining, no filtration and no additives besides a small amount of SO2 at bottling.
